Our seismic-resistant generator sets are generators with high vibration absorption capacity. Prepared to operate even in seismic earthquake situations. We design a tailored solution based on a given seismic spectrum or the typical seismicity in the application area.
The typical application of these machines is in mining areas, areas with high seismic probability (South America, Asia, islands...) or areas of maximum security against events (nuclear power plants, military applications).
Starting from a seismic spectrum provided by the client or typical spectra of the application area, using CAE (computer aided engineering) software, our engineers simulate how the generator would behave in that event. With this, a tailored solution is developed, acting on different components of the generator or the installation, to the point of ensuring the operation and good condition of the machine with a safety factor over the initial spectrum.
The adopted solution may involve reinforcements through threaded joints, welded reinforcements, special seismic anti-vibration mounts, application of special high-strength materials, or use of special bolts and ground anchors, etc.
